Listing Guidelines
Editorial guidelines for tools submitted to AI Tools Directory.
These guidelines define how tools are evaluated for inclusion in AI Tools Directory and how listed projects are expected to stay compliant over time.
1. Submission Eligibility
To be accepted, a tool should have:
- a functioning public website or product page;
- a clear and verifiable value proposition;
- accurate description of features, pricing, and target users;
- content that is relevant to AI workflows, productivity, or related categories.
2. Quality Requirements
Accepted listings should provide enough context for users to make informed decisions, including product scope, primary use case, and trustworthy outbound links.
Low-information pages, placeholder sites, and pages with repeated or auto-generated noise may be rejected until improved.
3. Restricted and Rejected Content
We may reject or remove listings that include:
- malicious downloads, phishing behavior, or harmful redirects;
- fraudulent claims or deceptive pricing;
- excessive affiliate-only pages without meaningful product value;
- unlawful, abusive, or policy-violating content;
- duplicate submissions designed to manipulate visibility.
4. Featured Placement Rules
Featured placement affects visibility only. It does not override quality standards, moderation policies, or compliance checks.
Featured listings must continue to meet all requirements. We may pause or revoke featured status for policy violations, unresolved payment issues, or significant quality regressions.
5. Ongoing Compliance
Listing owners are responsible for keeping content current. If material information changes (for example product availability, pricing model, or ownership), listings should be updated promptly.
Repeated non-compliance may result in delisting or account restrictions.
6. Enforcement and Appeals
Moderation actions can include edit requests, temporary unpublishing, permanent removal, or account-level restrictions depending on severity.
If you believe a moderation decision is incorrect, you may contact support with evidence for review.
7. Disclaimer
Inclusion in the directory does not imply endorsement, certification, or guarantee of service quality. Users should independently evaluate tools before adoption.
